So, everyone that I know that loves football is talking about the fact that USC vs. Texas drew more people to the LA Coliseum than the Rams game and the Chargers game combined.

Chargers game actually drew less than 26,000 people. (To put that in perspective, one source I read claims that the average attendance for an NFL game is over 60,000 people.) They need to face facts and just admit that nobody in LA wants them there. They barely tolerate having the Rams back.

One of the greats. My second favorite announcer of all time behind Jim Ross.

WANTED!

Whedon is a pig and then some and I'm done with him. Boycotts are usually useless but I'm never paying for anything he writes or directs ever again.

I'd be interested to see your (and everyone else's) personal boycott lists. Those people where once you find out they are connected to a project you're just like "NOPE!" and it's for what you consider moral infractions (different than just hating an actor/actress/director/writer because you think they're bad at what they do).

My boycott list is wonky. I'd rather read Mein Kampf than Art of the Deal.

I am more likely to put food or chain restaurants on my boycott list before movies and TV shows.

I won't eat at Applebee's, TGI Friday's, Chili's, Olive Garden, all the well known crappy family restaurants where they just fry most of the food. I won't eat at Arby's or Chic-Fil-A because the food is horrid. I won't eat Domino's because the last time I did, I got violently ill. I won't eat at CiCi's because I get violently ill EVERY time I eat there. I won't eat at Subway because I live around Philadelphia and you can get a much better sub anywhere else...

Uhhh... so Anquan Boldin retired. Two weeks after signing with the Bills, kind of out of nowhere. He's going to become a fighter for human rights.

A part of me really wonders if he showed up in Buffalo, saw all the Bills fans wearing racist Kaepernick shirts, and was like, "Fuck This!"

I talked to my wife more about this subject last night. She was basically like yeah, it sucks, he certainly looks like a hypocrite. But she's not going to stop loving Buffy. She's already been loving Buffy for over 2 decades, her feelings about the show aren't going to change now. It comes down to being able to separate the artist from their art.

Takoma1Right now, my feeling is that he gave me Buffy, the Vampire Slayer.

Just know that he was fucking a good portion of the cast to the expense of his wife

I'm not particularly tuned in to celebrity gossip, but is this now a widely held truth? Who in the cast?

Whedon has always been under the realm of speculation with him and his casts, the story confirms what has been on the tip of the cultural tongue for a long long time. Charisma Carpenter is the public knowledge hook up. Eliza Dushku is a strong possibility. We aren't going to get a lot of blow up regarding the details of the affairs, it's that the prevalent speculation that he was having affairs on set is now a confirmed reality.

I would not be surprised in the least if Whedon was having an affair with Eliza Dushku.

My wife is a GIGANTIC Buffy fan. I got in an argument with her a while back, telling her that I thought that Whedon's constant touting of feminism came across as very pandering, and I wondered how much of it was just an act. She got really mad at me for this and defended her boy Joss.

Couldn't really defend him here, it seems.

Eagles are probably looking like 9-7 this year, and I only say that because their schedule is pretty easy. Since we're in the same division as the Cowboys and the Redskins that might just be good enough to get us a wild card spot.

Or, maybe I'm completely fooling myself and Carson Wentz is going to turn into redneck RG3 this year. Because... Iggles.

TeamCanadaBills, Jets, & now Dolphins all seem to be treading water in a lake of fiery gasoline, so anything less than 5-1 & the division title should be a choke job for the Patriots.

With the Dolphins hiring Jay Cutler and the Jets having a QB line-up so terrible that they look racist for not signing Kaepernick, yeah, I would have to agree with you.

Alec Baldwin's best performance was in Outside Providence, which itself is a criminally underrated comedy.

Popcorn ReviewsI haven't seen The Exorcist before, but The Blair Witch Project is not at all overrated. It could've just been a typical slasher film by having the witch pursue the protagonists throughout it. However, it terrifies the audience in a different way. It's a quiet and subtle horror film which builds up tension magnificently by having the witch taunt the protagonists, causing their mental states to break down and making them turn against each other. Also, it has one of the most terrifying ending scenes I've ever seen in a horror film. What I love about its final shot is that it shows that the witch could've killed them instantly if it wanted to. However, it didn't do so as it was just toying with them. Some people criticized it for being bland. However, there's a reason why it's as slow as it is. It's one of the best horror films of all time.

Blair Witch sucks ass.

Exorcist is legit.

Exorcist 3 is creepier.

The GuySpaghetti Squash? Not a big fan.

I'm also not a fan. When I first went on a diet for my cholesterol, everyone told me, "Replace pasta with spaghetti squash. It's basically tastes the same, only healthier!" These people were horribly wrong.

What do you not like about Tulip? I really enjoyed Ruth Negga in her arc on Agents of SHIELD and I find her to be a fun presence on Preacher.

The accent is probably the main thing. It doesn't even sound real to me, more a cartoony version of what Tulip (or an American woman from the South) would sound like. I also think her comedic timing is a little off, (So is Jesse's.) I find a lot of her delivery to be wooden and in general, I have never seen her in a scene from Preacher where she pulls me in to the story. Like I mentioned earlier, her acting pulls me out of it.

I'm a big fan of the graphic novels and read the whole series, so I was looking forward to the TV show.

So... the guy who's Cassidy is pretty good. He plays Cassidy a little goofier than the character in the comics, but I can tell the overall character is there.

But the actor who plays Jesse is kinda mediocre, and OH MY GOD TULIP FUCKING SUCKS. She's terrible, like so terrible that she takes me out of it every time she comes on screen. I haven't been able to watch an entire episode yet.

Is there any reason to keep trying with this show? Or should I just move on and count this as a loss in my book?

Spencie Returns1.) I personally don't know if television gets any better than The Venture Bros.

2.) Breaking Bad is probably my favorite, concluded television series.

Season 2 of Venture Brothers might be my honorable mention for best television ever.

DaMUAs Batman said to Rachel Dawes, it's not who you are underneath, but what you do that defines you.

And as Rachel Dawes said to Harvey Dent, "it's OK, it's all right. Listen, some-" KA-BOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!

Okay, this might be the best thing I read all week.

I would love to get some feedback here.

Recently, I was talking to a friend of mine from college online. We were discussing the McGregor-Mayweather fight, and the fact that McGregor has been saying racist things in his press conferences. (And it isn't the first time. He did the same kind of stuff when he fought Nick Diaz.) My friend's first reaction was, "Sure, he's racist, but whatever. He's a guy who gets punched in the head a lot. It doesn't matter."

After talking about it a bit more, he followed up by saying, "I could argue he's not racist, and just saying racist things to Mayweather in order to get him into a blind rage and lose his focus."

I mean..... I think it's pretty obvious that intentionally saying racist things to someone to get them mad is racist. Doesn't matter if it's before a boxing match or some sort of game.

Consensus? Thoughts?

I've been trying to go back and play a lot of my favorite old school video games, as well as catching up on games I have not played yet. There's actually a number of games I never got around to playing, and now I've gathered most of them. Finally going to get some free time here so now, in your opinion..... which one of these games would you start playing first?

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
The Last of Us
God of War 3
Chrono Trigger: Crimson Echoes
