I thought Second Son's main mission variety was pretty serviceable, but obviously at a cost to...well, the rest of the open world. Felt more like a game that just happened to take place in an open world rather one that was designed around it, but as a non-fan of open world games, it worked for me.

It's funny you mention that "stand on a truck and shoot at dudes" mission because that is still totally in the series, but I can't remember if they did it for Second Son proper. It's definitely in the Fetch DLC.

What really grabbed me with SS were the outposts. I don't know if Infamous 2 has an equivalent, but I loved taking outposts over in Infamous(unlike in, say, Far Cry) because those were the moments where the movement and combat had proper time to shine. The push and pull between engaging in combat and having to disengage, only to re-engage the outpost by groundpounding the enemy force from 50 feet above was the best. They actually gave me some strong RFG vibes, but I don't know how much anyone else got from that. Those outposts sold me on the game, though.

You had to loot bodies in Far Cry 3 to get ammo. There was no way around that, or at least I never got far enough to get around that. I'm sure it was yet another thing the game made redundant through it's skilltree at a certain point. It might be less of a thing in this game, but it offsets that by making me rummage through the environment.

Scavenging for bullshit in an environment is the biggest momentum killer in modern games. It made a great game like Last of Us a merely good one and I'm especially already feeling the pains of it here when all I wanna do is run across rooftops dropkicking zombies in the face.

SinizineIt's pretty fun for the most part. Slide kicking a zombie to break it's legs will probably never get old. Can't wait to unlock the grapple hook.

But then we talk about this whole "look at every body on the ground and take 2 seconds to pat them down for 6 dollars" business from Far Cry and I'm like.

Pop-in isn't something that magically gets fixed with "next-gen" It probably shouldn't be as severe in a game as linear as Evil Within, not that I've even seen it much in what little I've played, but it's a limitation with the engine.

I can only speak to the G930s, which I assume is basically just a wireless version of the 430's you listed with slightly different earpad material, but I love them. Never had any issues with them.

If you do end up getting them, just make sure you never bother with the surround sound function.

(If Futureshop is your Canadian Best Buy, then you might want to see if they also price match Amazon like BB does.)

The Fall is pretty real. It's basically Swapper-esque atmosphere mixed with an old school point and click adventure(and I guess Shadow Complex's shooting?)

Real damn good though, even if the combat is pretty whatevs.
