Has anyone seen this? It looks like something you'd see on Adult Swim.

I love Wolf's voice.

After you finish the book and your Korra thread, you can then finish your top 2010, 2011, and 2012 thread; update your top 150 animated list; and then... make me a sandwich.

No pressure, though.  I'm fond of reubens.

Oh cool, you're back.  Now I can start a Gab About Animation series of topics.

I was too young to remember the Home Alone hype.  It actually grossed $285 million in 1990.  Was there really nothing else to see at the time?

Seriously, who are some of you people? My memory is fading fast.

Metal Slug 3 is like 10x harder than Metal Slug 2. Holy shit this is annoying.

Impress me, mortals. Actually, I'm looking for a new series to watch. My top 5:

Paranoia Agent
Welcome to the NHK
Cowboy Bebop
Gunbuster
Ranma 1/2 (mostly just the first season)

Pretty conventional. As you can see, I'm looking to expand my horizons.

Underrated: People know this game, but it deserves to be more well-liked.
Overlooked: People don't know this game, and it deserves to be more well-known.

You dig? Stick with the 8-bit and 16-bit eras, please.

Some great users have left us, but this place is hardly a ghost town.

She never said that she was a hardcore gamer.  Anita never said a lot of the things people accuse her of saying.
Nov 9, 2014 1:31 PM
The whole "Anita isn't a gamer" is such excruciating horseshit.  So because she said that she wasn't a big fan of games five years ago, this suddenly means that she will never be a gamer.

DefaultI don't post enough over here to have a list, but I wanted to gripe about something specific. I hate the term "Social Justice Warrior." It's so limp. It's got the umph of calling someone a book worm.

Like, why can't we go back to calling people pussies? I mean, if the goal of using a term like SJW instead of pussy was ever to not seem sexist, that boat sailed a while ago. Let's go back to the good old days.

Calling someone a SJW separates them from mainstream feminism. Real feminists are not professional victims. They don't need men to do 'something' - they are more than capable of solving problems associated with their gender on their own. They know what real oppression is and it's not being catcalled or drawn in an allegedly hyper-sexualized way(Spiderwoman). SJWs represent the worst of liberalism, like the Westboro Baptist Church represent the worst of conservatism.
This blog sums up my position on tumblr feminism/SJWs.

Did feminists actually say that the Spider-Woman thing was real oppression or are you just making shit up again?

General Randy Threathttp://gganalysis.blogspot.com/2014/10/gamer-gate-analysis.html

Dude admits that he doesn't have as much exposure to the pro-Gamergate side.  That says it all.  The bad people in Gamergate are just "trolls and attackers" (who are in it just for the lulz) and not "people who see nothing wrong with using actual Nazi propaganda to attack Anita Sarkeesian."

You know, I try to avoid negative topics for my "Gab About..." series, but I'll make an exception since I can't see any heated arguments happening here. Let the hate flow through you.

22 Short Films About Springfield is my pick. It's just really not that funny at all.

bump

Anita Sarkeesian was on Colbert last night.  This thing has really exploded.

I can't even make sense of this post.

Let me translate:  "Hi, I'm Randy, I'm eager to start any argument from the slightest pretense of offense.  You'll do."

I really don't understand what the second and third sentences have to do with Baadrone's post.

BaadroneInception just doesn't hold up on repeat viewings for me. Yeah it has some gnarly action sequences along with Hardy and Leonardo chewing up the scenery but its a chore to get through. I remember trying to get my Dad to watch it as he usually really likes sc-fi movies and he turned it off about 40 minutes in. And he loved TDKR which is a film I'm not all that fond of. Besides those 2 films, I'd rank Nolan among the best directors around but I can't ignore his flaws like some of his fan boys tend to do. Nobody is perfect.

Bad flamebait. The fact is people like me are "fan boys" of Nolan because of films like Inception and TDKR not in spite of them and their alleged flaws. His work was less interesting prior to Batman Begins, if you ask me.

RandyWhat I want to know for sure is how many people who say Family Guy isn't funny thought How I Met Your Mother was funny... that should be fun.

Way to change the topic and try to turn this into "If you disagree with me, then somehow you are automatically wrong"

Except someone just linked MacFarlane hosting to Family Guy's quality and then I thought of a similar analogue for NPH, his horrendous laugh-track show people like for some reason... because of low comedy standards or something.

You're line of thinking is that we're trying to hate on MacFarlane's musical number because we already hate his work on Family Guy.  It's like saying, just to use an example, that BadLieutenant hated Pain and Gain because "He already hated Bay and his Transformers films, so he went in wanting to hate Pain and Gain!"  Wouldn't it be more likely that Pain and Gain simply has the exact same flaws that BL sees in every Michael Bay film?  Doesn't the latter opinion make you seem less like a tinfoil hat wearing crazy conspiracy theorist?
Plus, if this board is so dead set on hating MacFarlane no matter what he does, then why does the board have a decent amount of American Dad fans?

"Well, American Dad sucks and you all have bad taste!"  < don't bother responding with this.

InsultCakeWhy is this discussion seemingly based on this objective idea that Family Guy is good, as if it's a fact?

"Whatever, you morons just don't know what's good comedy."
