ERotICI miss goofy, juvenile DeLonge.

I dunno. ?A lot of this stuff looks pretty goofy to me. ?And "sekret" is very juvenile.

Well, okay. Knowingly goofy and juvenile.

Yeah, I finally bit the bullet and signed up today. Maybe I'll actually start going to the movies again now.

So apparently Rotten Tomatoes is doing some weird obviously shill thing where it won't "reveal " the score until the night of the premiere.

Which is obviously a way of saying "Warner owns part of the site and didn't want reviews to be seen when the embargo lifts".

The embargo has lifted though. Reviews are... well, mixed.

DetrimentalI'm ashamed that the fact that I have a penis means that girls who want one (FtM transsexuals) resent me for it. But hey I guess that's just male privilege.

This may have seemed like a good idea after six or seven shots, but when you sober up I assure you that it was not.

whathaveicreatedAnother thing I?m ashamed for not being that aware of previously, is how even the good good boys like EA and I (or ther version of myself that I believed in) benefit from the ever present threat of male aggression. In relationships, in social situations, in the workplace. But, hey, that?s privilege.

Having an utter monster for a father, I feel like that's one privelage I haven't overlooked (whoo? I guess).

Doesn't mean I haven't acted like a dickhole to women in the past. I certainly have. But I'm still cognizant of male aggression.

Would you like an actual honest answer to this?

When someone does something completely inappropriate and unpredictable, it immediately sounds a TON of alarms in your head. If this guy would start doing that in front of me, what might he do if I try to leave? And unless you have the presence of mind to snap a photo or something, it's the ultimate he-said/she-said. Women are given a lot of baggage regarding how they react to unwanted sexual behavior from men (boys will be boys, it's a compliment!, etc) and you can feel paralyzed when you suddenly find yourself in that kind of situation. An acquaintance from college recently shared a story about a classmate who tried to get into her dorm room by forcing open her window and not only did she freeze up, she also didn't know how to report it and so she just never said anything. Every woman I know has multiple stories like that. You just don't know how to react.

I keep reading guys who are like "They just laughed when he did it--that shows it was just harmless fun!". But laughing and/or freezing up are really common reactions to frightening and confusing behavior from someone else.

Thanks. Today I read a long post by Ellen Page about her negative experiences in Hollywood and her story lays out exactly what you describe, with an added note about how ubiquitous the attitude against women seems to be. I can see how that would make someone feel helpless. It's not a situation I would like to be in, of course.

As a guy who's experienced sexual assault, it's very much the same effect. It isn't a "helpless woman" thing. You're just genuinely shocked and confused into inaction.

ERotICI plan to try psychedelics one time in my life. Seems like one of those life experiences that you shouldn't deny yourself.

LSD or mushrooms?

I figured shrooms. Seems safer and maybe less anxiety inducing. But I haven't really done research on it.

And, most importantly, shorter. Twelve hours as opposed to three or four is almost literally a lifetime of a difference.

Oh god yeah, fuck that noise.

ZubenGuys, it's important to keep in mind that once you've had a taste of my dick and felt me use my sex expert prowess on your genitals, it becomes clear that I am your only chance at ever maintaining anything resembling happiness. Living without me, those poor woman walk in a shadow-land of despair, knowing they will never relish in my exquisite sex making again. Pity them.

Eh. You're no Bigwig.

One thing that I realized too late was that telling someone you aren't interested in a relationship before having sex with them doesn't get you off the hook if you keep having sex with them and know that they want more, regardless of the fact that they might tell you they are fine with just the sex. Granted, you can't be a mind reader or whatever, but sometimes you can definitely tell and at that point it behooves you to stop engaging in that behaviour even if you feel like you made your intentions clear. Not sure I'm making sense here.

No, I feel like I've been there before, too. But I think that sort of thing tends to be more about trying to avoid outwardly rejecting them romantically than it is about using them. Although one party wanting more or less than the other in a sexual encounter is pretty 100 percent of situations.

I mean, yeah, the Jesse Lacey stuff isn't disturbing because of the actions. Of course I've given and received nudes and done sex stuff on Skype. That's normal behavior for people in a sexual relationship. It's very clearly the power dynamic that makes it abuse here, and the exploitation of a minor.

Have you heard of George Takei?
