There's a big discrepancy between the Tomatometer and the Audience Score. ?25% vs 71%

TabascoThis is what my procrastination has come to.

I remember you. You had an elephant man avatar.

Yeah, that's how I remember people too, by their AVs. ?(Though I don't remember Tobasco's specifically). ?Most of the old threads have the AVs missing so it's really hard to remember a lot of the old names. ?

The Review Aggregates ARE crap.Man With a Plan gets 21% which is way too high.

Mr. AlexanderIt's been a long time! What's changed since I last posted?

I vaguely remember you ? Didn't you have an AV of a guy in a smock with glasses?

?the appallingly cuddly treatment of GWB by the media in recent weeks.

Yeah, what the fuck is going on there? Are we suddenly nostalgic for the guy who started the Endless War?

I think what is happening is that people are so disgusted and absolutely nauseated by Trump, the even Bush is "Presidential" by comparison. That Trump has lowered the highest office in the land so far into the sewer, that you now have to look up very high to see who was the worst President until January 20, 2017. Now that Trump is in the White House, the putrid stench of him will remain in that place forever whereas, at least Bush didn't stink up the place like someone leaving a unflushed #2 in a public restroom when he left office.

Still, you are right about the Endless War. I still hold Bush accountable for all this. ?In fact, had Gore or Kerry won, Trump would not be president today. The Little Man would be sitting in his office in Trump Tower sneering at the world and no one would have ever heard of him, Pence or Palin.

EpitoooozyScott, let me ask you something. Did you vote for Trump?

Although the person that I voted for was not my first choice, considering that I had to choose between Trump and Hillary, the choice was easy and should have been for everyone.

Well, which is it? If you voted for Trump, don't even talk to be about God. In my eye, you really can't call yourself Christian, let alone blather on about Jesus and people going to Hell, if you voted for a monster like Trump. The hypocrisy among the religious right during this election is downright disgusting. They claim to be followers of Christ, but there they are, voting for the most Diabolical psychopath in American political history. ?One by one, they all stood up to be counted for the Dark Side.

And don't even get me started on Pence. He is even worse, because he is a total religious fanatic. Pence subscribes to a very narrow and intolerant world view that believes that unless you're a Protestant, rich, white, American-born male, you're going to Hell. Jews, Muslims, even Catholics and Episcopalians aren't really Christian in Pence's eye and are thus going burn for Eternity. And that's perfectly alright by Pence.

theVictorianMan, if 13 is more than normal I'm suddenly feeling rather impressed with myself.

I don't think 13 is more than normal. At least anymore and among certain age groups. A radio show I listened to recently asked callers how many sexual partners they have had. There were people calling in (mostly guys in their 20s) stating that they have had 100 or even 200 sexual partners. The hosts were kind of dumbfounded at some of the calls. Even a few women who called in had 80 or more different partners, some over just a two or three year period.

I think sites like Tinder have changed everything. When I was in my early 20s, thirty partners was a quite lot - your were a real Man Whore - but though the average numbers of sexual partners one has had may not have changed much among all age groups, the outliers among those in their early 20s is really skewing the data.

People calling in to a public forum to brag about the number of their sexual partners seems like a pretty good population sample to work from, so great post.

If this was aimed at me, I wasn't bragging. I'm honestly surprised.

I know you weren't Vic, I just don't believe that 13 sexual partners among 20-somethings is all that high these days. Yeah, it was just a radio show that I got this data, and maybe less Millennials are having sex overall, but their certainly seems to be an increase among both men and women taking the numbers to an extreme. Kind of a "Mean vs Median" scenario.

DyneI use the shit out of that service. It's cheaper than hotels, and for the most part way more comfortable. I am amazed at the reach they have into the international market as well.

Yeah, I figured if anyone was into airbnb, it would be you Dyne. ?

Do you mostly stay at places that only have a room available, or do you require more private accommodations, such as an entire house. ?

Has anyone used this service? I have stayed at six different places now and all have been great. They are a little bit more expensive than hotels, especially if you need a whole house, but the amenities are so much better. (For example, you can cook your own meals). All of my stays have been in separate houses, or completely self-contained spaces within a house and have had absolute privacy. Most have been in nice neighborhoods where you can walk or bike anywhere.

Here is a list of the places I've stayed"

1. Bayfield, Ontario: A converted and nicely tripped out garage behind the hosts' house that contained it's own kitchen and two bedrooms. Less than two blocks from Lake Huron.

2. Collingwood, Ontario. A three-bedroom totally self-contained basement apartment a block from Lake Huron and a bike trail. I was worried that I would hear too much noise from the host family living above, but the noise attenuation was great. We didn't here a peep out of them.

3. Niagara Falls, ON. A four-bedroom house all to ourselves just a few blocks from the falls. Close to the center of everything but far enough away from the noise.

4. Berea, Ohio (nr Cleveland). An old farmhouse with modern amenities. The host even brought us dinner.

5. Gary, Indiana. (The nice part of Gary). A small but very cozy cottage just a couple of blocks from the beach where some of the best views of Chicago are afforded.

6. Covington, KY. A two bedroom house just a block from all the action on Main Street. Great neighborhood and close enough to the bridge taking you to Cinci.

Tell me about your experiences with airbnb. Have you had the whole house to yourself or are you content to just get a room. I'm a little old to be sharing rooms and must have my privacy, but I can imagine if you're young you may be content just a sharing place and save a lot more money.

King Elessar 8I suppose no one is going to bother if even I am not around (and perhaps not even if I am). I had a rough 2015/2016 and didn't really care much about that place during that time, but I might go over there in the next few days and see if I can perk it up a bit.

Sorry to hear, Kate. ?I vaguely remember some references to your site during a time when RT was down, but I have no idea when that was. I think I may have even visited once, and it was pretty active that day with a lot of familiar names I remember from OT.
When did you create it? ?I find this new layout to be annoying, especially with all the dead links, lack of AVs, too small a typeface for quotes, inability to search, and the difficulty in registering. ?I actually tried to post a few months ago and couldn't figure out how to do it. ?This time I was able to so, but only after going through the cumbersome process of trying to remember what e-mail account this Username was linked to, the password for that account, and then reset the password for this account. ?It didn't work in Chrome, so I had to used Internet Explorer.?
It's just not user-friendly at all. ?
Mar 11, 2017 10:31 PM
The names sounds familiar but the Registration Date doesn't add up.
Mar 11, 2017 10:16 PM
Looks like there are a lot of dead links. Luckily, I can edit three-year old posts so I'm in the process of replacing them with good links, like The Yemens.
Mar 11, 2017 8:56 PM
King Elessar 8Yes, but regardless its there if someone wants it. I haven't even looked at the site in ages, and it's my own site.

The layout of your site seems a lot more advanced than the way RT is now. ?Reminds me of the old days of RT before the downgrade. ?But no one has posted there for more than a year. ?
