boozeJust for your information, I've been in Sitting Bulls' neck of the woods for quite some time, and they're all idiotic, racist, homophobic goat-fuckers.

That covers a lot of red counties :(??

You know what makes for a depressing day.? Scott Lefler bumping his inane posts

The longest period I recall was a 18-day period when I was on vacation in June, 2007. I was camping and the only time I even saw a computer was in an office at Mammoth Cave National Park I had asked an employee to show me the weather forecast for the next few days and plan my next leg of the trip accordingly.

I ended up winging the entire trip:? No internet, no computer. Just going to campgrounds or hotels and being able to find good empty campsites without any advanced reservations. (I did have a prepaid phone). It was cool that I was still able to accomplish that, when even then you pretty much needed the internet to do any kind of vacation planning.

Esoteric AllusionFacebook is hiring the Weekly Standard to fact check for it in order to prove they aren't biased against conservatives. I'm sure that'll go well.

Good god. Are you sure you didn't get this from The Onion?

LollerpopsAlso, sorry for not acknowledging your new adventure, Kate. Stay away from benzos.

What are benzos?
Good to see you, is this just a visit?

They're anti-anxiety drugs, like valium, xanax, klonopin, etc. They're very useful for short-term use and to curb a panic attack (they kick in quickly) but they're pretty addictive and withdrawal is supposedly extremely painful and difficult. All that said, they're really relaxing.

Yeah, Kate, stay away from the Benzo's as much as you can.? Especially Xanax.? They will wreak absolute havoc on you: Insomnia, physiological dependency, agitation, etc.? Vicondin is pretty bad too.? It makes the anger melt away but if you take it too long, you're hooked.? I take Klonipin a couple of days a week to help me sleep but it has lost it's effectiveness over the past three years and has lead to a huge spike in Anhedonia,.?

I guess I just don't understand why they made it a prequel. Couldn't they have set it further in the future, like maybe 50 years after DS9?

After tuning out all news for weeks, I was just about to tune into CBS news to actually learn more about the devastation in PR. But almost instantly, they showed goddamn Trump bragging and spouting off about what a great job they were doing. Then I had to see a couple of white trash red necks burn their NFL jerseys so I just turned it all off.

EpitoooozyCan't say I enjoyed it. ?6/10

I think you could if you wanted to.

Maybe, but is it even going to be on broadcast TV or do you have to stream it? If I recall correctly, when I was watching the show they said something like "Live Stream Episode 2 Now" or something like that. The didn't give any indication that it would be broadcast next Sunday.? I have no streaming capabilities and I'm certainly not going to watch it on a computer.

MeowWatching Trump being forced to pretend he cares about other people is both bizarre and exhausting.

Just exhausting for me. I've pretty much tuned out all the news since the inauguration but did watch some coverage when the hurricane first hit. It wasn't but a few minutes into each nightly newscast when they started showing Trump blathering about something incoherant. Switching channels to find something not about Trump proved fruitless.
How long will it take Housontians to see through all of Trump charade and phoniness? Hopefully sooner rather than later. No doubt he will spin all this and take credit for what others have done. Bush at least got called out for his mismanagement concerning Katrina. But I don't hold the same hope that people will finally see Trump for what he is. And if there is any sustained bump in the polls for Trump concerning Harvey, then we really are truly lost as a nation.

Congrats to the newest member of the NY Times opinion section: a Floating Carpet of Fire Ants from Houston

That's our JimmyJazz.

I have vague recollections of Jimmy Jazz. I seem to remember that he started out with another Handle, like Henry Caul, but I could be wrong.

I don't remember. I can access it now but I the avatar is broken. Plus the post count is embarrassingly high.

Not as embarrassing as Bigwig's

I'm just glad Kate can still ban people. It just takes us just a few steps back from the inevitable day when these forums are nuked.

wirthlingYeah, every president does disaster zone photo ops. This one's just more of a dumb transparent narcissist, I guess.

Mark my words. By the time this whole Harvey thing is over, Trump's constant bumbling, bragging and political posturing will make everyone forget all about Bush's mishandling of the aftermath of Katrina.
