Had a chance to re visit They Live a few nights ago. Had to listen to the commentary with Carpenter and Roddy Piper and it seems like Hot Rod had a few before the commentary. Its funny because JC seemed like he was a young guy lost in his love for a wrestling superstar and wondering if it was a good idea to have Hot Rod on the track. I can watch the Kurt Russell and JC commentaries over and over but this one and the new Halloween are a bit too much.

Well, it made a billion at the box office, and lord knows there has never been a shitty movie to do that.

Don't they normally play better without Blake?

Received my Seasons yesterday and have been on a marathon. Season 1 seems much better than I remember even with the animation being what it is even though it seems to improve greatly halfway through the season. The last episode seems to be the one I didn't care much for. Halfway through season 2 and I'm starting to remember a few episodes I watched on TV so long ago which I assume on reruns now they're on a much later season. Marge seems to be my favorite Simpson so far.

TheZapperSo what was the episode when you knew it was over?? Poochie?? Homer joins the navy?

I havent seen many episodes at all, but I finally gave in a purchased the first nine seasons. Apparently there is an episode in season 9 about Skinner that Shearer, Groening, and the fans point to as early signs of the end of the "golden age".

Janson Jinnistan99-00?

edit: I mean season 11.

I guess its a contained 90's pop culture thing?

Shorts on the Tracy Ullman Show. The Ringer did a list of the top 100 episodes and I noticed not one episode past season 9 is on the list. Fair or foul and what would you say is the last good season.

I was just thinking about the south park episode a few days ago about Christopher Reeves eating babies and regaining his superman strength and HackMan being his nemesis, although the good guy.

Very long career with Fassbinder, Scorsese, Coppola and a few others. Have been watching Goodfellas a bit here the last few weeks. Guy has quite a good resume.

The YETI
BobHarrisHadn't seen this since it was in the theater, I think I remember the response around here being kind of lukewarm but It kind of hit me hard watching it again last night. Would probably rank it above the last two DK movies and Inception as well.

It's sappy schlock. Nolan tries to incept us with catharsis (reconciliation between father and daughter) and posits a goofy emotional resolution to a plot point (love is the thread that allows us to navigate the four-dimensional maze of the tesseract).

lol, it is a bit sappy
