Death ProofAnd I fucked your mother.

I'm starting to think that you might be the father.

My progeny would have the good taste to become a supervillain, not an obsessive movie forum poster and collector of kiddie porn.

Kingsman 2: The Golden Circle - 7/10

Totally worth it to see Elton John tell someone to go fuck themselves and then kick the shit out of them with platform shoes.

The Details (Jacob Aaron Estes/2011) C+

Instead of watching something I wanted to see I decided to just randomly tape something with some actors I like (Laura Linney, Tobey Maguire). This movie about the Maguire having some marital problems was not bad. There were quite a few LOL scenes and even some darker moments. Worth your time but don't expect anything great.

Interesting idea for a horror film and well executed IMO. What a scary place to live.

Rattlers - 4/10 - Yet another low budget, 70's era, mother-nature-strikes-back offering. This time it's pissed off rattlesnakes dosed with nerve gas by a sketchy Air Force colonel. Our stalwart hero/herpetologist is so bland and forgettable as to be non existent and the snakes are frankly phoning it in. It moved quick enough though even after they shoehorned in a by the numbers, hate at first sight hookup with the snake charmer and a *gasp* women's libber.

Queen of Outer Space - 2/10 - It's as cheesy and ludicrous as the title suggests and your reaction will depend largely on how much you're willing to buy into the camp aspect. And also whether or not you believe it's intended to be. Otherwise it's downright obnoxious. Four astronauts (actually three of them plus a scientist) end up on Venus where they encounter a planet populated entirely by late 1950's pin-up models. Then the movie straps on roller skates and heads downhill fast. Zsa Zsa Gabor is the scientist/resistance leader. She's also the best actress in it. Uh-huh. Yeah. I ended up actively rooting for the frat boy astronauts to be killed off. And not by snu snu either. Although the ending unintentionally echoes that episode of Futurama.

I'm having the time of my life, I hope you know this. It's awful and pathetic and I finally feel like it's okay to just howl at the moon for once
Thanks for wrestling. I needed a wrestle and, like, any time. If you get my goat I will @ you

I really need to go to bed before my mind slips further into this... you know what I feel like? The very fulcrum between what's real and what's not. Way to put my Libra to test, I have a pretty solid core you know

It's only going to get funnier from this point on, I can feel it. I'll watch your dumb show, fine, it'll probably be cathartic or some shit. Christ, what an effort for ONE FAN. It feels like I got indoctrinated into reality

Ugh, work. Seriously, I'm good with my hands but I don't want to break a severely chewed up nail. It's, like, here I am replenishing the world's mana and you are STILL laughing, well, so am I!

It's okay, Alan Moore, you cheeky bastard. You have the right idea. You broke the world's brain with that one and sent it into quite the trip. The dreamers are waking up. You woke a slumbering giant in me and it was hard to tame. I needed to be tamed, otherwise we would have all gone too far and there is no looking back from that point

Now it's time to seal it in a tome

Bicentennial Man" - 7/10

Heard of the film, yet knew nothing about it going in. Not a lot here outside a unique angle on a love story and finding solace. Personally, found it enjoyable and harmless. Silly at times, some funny moments and some sad moments.

Voyage Of Time: Life's Journey (Terrence Malick/2016) B-

What other title would you expect from a Terrence Malick documentary about life and the universe? If you can somehow not pay attention to Cate Blanchett's narration of Malick's 8th grade musings on life then sit back and enjoy the pretty visuals on display. It's short enough (85 minutes) not to drive you all batty.

The House (Andrew Jay Cohen/2017) C

Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler start a casino in their business partner's house and reap the fine awards and eventually pay the price. I mean the law. Not before getting their due though and putting their daughter through college. For fans of the comedians only otherwise you probably won't like it. It was just OK.

From the Earth To the Moon - 4/10 - What an odd movie. It's based on a Jules Verne novel but seems mostly concerned with the pros and cons of arms manufacturing and it's correlation to war. Joseph Cotton is the protagonist and is introduced as a war profiteer/merchant of death type. But when the script does an unexpected about face his motivations are rendered unclear and his rival, the mack daddy voiced George Sanders, is cast as the fanatical hypocrite. More time is spent in endless deliberation about man's obligation to the future, to peace, to his own self etc. than any fun, Jules Verne type of stuff. Lots of dialogue, very little action.
