Ok my criteria is pretty simple. I like zombies, gore, slashers, foreign language, art-house, surreal, witches, satanism, creature features and good anthologies. I don't like found footage and I'm iffy on supernatural (so many these days). That's it. Just to get it out of the way I've already seen the anthologies Holidays and A Christmas Horror Story. Both were good in their own ways.

Thanks a lot!!! I'll let you know if I've already seen it or it's in my list. I have a few of them.

Sweet Home is a terrific little home invasion movie that's wonderfully shot, edited and with great sound design. Nobody else I know has seen it.

Also not a horror but The Last Survivors is a solid post-apocalyptic thriller.

MaxRennHaunter is pretty good.

It is, and you can tell it's directed by the same man that helmed Cube, which I love.

Thanks but seen them all.
Just a note that I'm a seasoned horror film watcher. I'm looking for more newer stuff and I like blood, lots of it.

I'm gonna go ahead and watch Last Shift. I think I've seen Home Sweet Home. Is it Korean? If I haven't I can grab the copy off youtube.

Yeah this Last Shift was some tripped out surreal shit. I liked it. More please.

It's just called Sweet Home and it's not Korean. It takes place in Spain but appears American-made.

Yeah, I'm not really into those time loop movies. Tried to watch one called ARQ and couldn't get through ten minutes. Source Code drove me nuts.?

It was a huge surprise for me, loved it way more than I thought I would.

Not sure how many more Netflix recs I can give, their selection ain't what it used to be. Maybe V/H/S and V/H/S/2 if you haven't already seen them

Yeah, I saw both and they were ok. I haven't bothered with V/H/S/ Viral yet. Last Shift really interested me because it was just so surreal and you really had no idea what was going on yet the film doles out bits of information as it goes and then starts making more sense. It still left me with some questions but that's a good thing.

The one recent horror story that stood out and worked for me was Don't Breathe. Its a very similar concept to Split but I think Don't Breathe was more tense especially at the beginning.

Babadook and The Witch weretwo critically acclaimed horror films but I wasn't as impressed with either one as the critics were. I guess I am defective.
I really didn't even like Babadook. The Witch was okay.

Is Under the Skin horror? I liked that one.

I think Japanese horror is similar to and better than Babadook.
