They seem a pretty outdated format.

Only for the films I see as not worth buying on Blu-Ray, but still enjoyable.

Do you have a BluRay/DVD player 2 in 1?  Or separate players?

I love buying DVDs. I have a smaller collection but am consistantly adding. There are a few reasons why I don't collect Blu-Rays.

1. I don't have a Blu-Ray player. Simple as that.

2. DVDs are way less expensive. I'm not cheap, but I'm not going to go out and spend $20 on a Blu-Ray when I can buy a $5 DVD.
Also, I don't want to replace every DVD I have collected with a Blu-Ray.

3. The cases have a better look than Blu-Rays. Blu-Rays are kinda small, when DVD cases are the right size. Also, the covers tend to be more colorful.

4. DVDs fit perfectly on my shelf. Again, luck of the draw.

5. There is a great new & used DVD shop right near where I live. It's a smaller business, and I just like the feel.

6. There's not really a difference. Blu-Rays tend to look better, but I prefer the sometimes old-timey look of DVDs. Plus, I don't watch all the bonus features and behind-the-scenes on the DVD, so why should I sped more money for more of those?

I currently have around 150 DVDs after collecting for about a year. Why let a good thing go to waste?

Of course. Collecting is fun, I also like physical copies. And some have interesting extra features.

I prefer Blu-Ray, personally, but if I can't find the blu-ray or if it it's really cheap (e,g: The Departed was $1.75 on DVD, $9.99 on bluray) then I get the DVD
