boozeLet's see how Boston fares against a more competitive team. My prediction, Toronto will win @Boston on Sunday.

Gonna depend a lot on if Horford and Tatum are playing.

I don't know the details of the concussion protocol, but Ainge said the doctor didn't think it was bad as last year's. Tatum is questionable for tonight, MRI came back negative. Hopefully they can both play on Sunday, because the two teams don't meet again until February and I'd rather shut you up about your fucking Celtics for now.

You better hope they aren't both playing on Sunday because if they are you're gonna get your ass kicked.

I hope they're both playing, rested and energized. Horford was a 3rd-round dud for me in fantasy last year, I'll be alright with it if he plays with an ice cream headache.

Both Horford and Tatum are now listed as questionable tonight against Charlotte, so you may well get your wish.

Tatum's in and starting, Horford's out but says he feels a lot better.

No Hayward. No Horford. No Kyrie. Down 20. And Boston still wins.

Not sure what the point of saying no Hayward is.

The point is Boston still won despite playing without their three best players. Shane Larkin, Terry Rozier, and Tatum were their leading scorers. That's damn impressive.

Related thought: Stevens is the clear favorite for Coach of the Year right now. He's unbelievable.

That was a great game Booze. I think it was within 5 the entire 4th quarter, and within 3 for most of it.

Anunoby is good. Van Vleet can eat a dick for that flop at the end.

HoboJoeBoston is for real. They now own the best record, best point differential, and best defense after beating OKC. Jaylen Brown is a future star, Tatum is a future superstar. Kyrie is ready to make the leap, Horford is having the best season of his career. Hayward is a returning all-star next year, and they have a likely top 5 pick coming in the next two years.

Kyrie Irving owns the 5th best defensive rating in the league among all players playing 20 minutes and at least 7 games. Boston is second in net rating behind Golden State. Boston's next five games are at Atlanta tonight, vs LAL, vs CHA, vs TOR, and @ BKN, and they have a real chance to be 13-2 when they play Golden State on Nov 16th. You heard it here first - Boston is the best team in the East and is making it to the Finals.

Besides Horford playing out of his mind at an unsustainable pace, why not consider that you pointed out that Irving is playing great defense? This early in, you'd think that'd be more of an aberration than a new baseline. You seem to think that's just who he is now despite a well-earned reputation of being a terrible defender. You might want to cool your jets before your crown them 13-2.

Sup?

Unfortunately, I didn't see a stitch of it, I was too busy with the whirly thingamagigs around me at the casino. DeRozan apparently missed a couple of late shots, but still, close fought, close won, one scratch on your paper.

Toronto did go in and wax Houston away tonight, so I sense something budding.

After Boston loses by 30 points to Golden State will hobojoe still give us daily updates on the team's progress?

This is the second straight year now that I have had DeRozan on a fantasy team. He's both a unique and enjoyable scorer.

And were the NBA were to rid itself completely of its three-point line tomorrow, DeRozan would likely be a Top 5 player.

It's not my fault that HK, EA and I are the only three that consistently talk about our teams here. Feel free to change that.

I'd talk about the Wolves more, but basically it's been 13 games of "lots of talent, still meshing."

I should watch more of Minnesota given KAT's presence on my fantasy team. Why in the world is he significantly worse defensively now than he was in his rookie year?

I'm not sure. Anecdotally, he does fine when he just sits in the lane as a deterrent, but chasing blocks takes him out of position far too often. If might be one of those things where he'd improve if he actually gave less effort, because his instincts are that bad.

I don't have a team. If there's a team anyone would like to know about, let me know and I'll check 'em out and post my findings.

Aren't you in Tennessee? Not a Grizzlies fan?

Eh, they're Titans West. Ugly uniforms, boring style, dumb name. Plus Nashville and Memphis have a thing.

The Sixers are the most fun team in the league. Knicks are second.
