I had a perfectly fine thread for combat sports that included MMA and boxing and excluded WWE stuff. It could have served as a common ground, but you had to go an alienate yourselves? Assholes.

It's only 5:00.  Do you expect Moses to remember to set his alarm when he passes out drunk?

Sorry Zuben, I missed your post. I left the board in a bit of a huff when Moses didn't respond to me immediately.

How's your betting going? Are you winning?

I can't remember where I was when I took some time off from RT, but I got up to $400 (with an opening stack of $150) by the beginning of August and it's been largely downhill from there. I made a rough parlay on a a few fights, ending with the guy who was like a -400 fav to win losing, which lost me $60. I also lost a flat $30 bet and a series of small underdog bets until I was down to $300 (with a couple minor wins helping to stem the tide).
Last night was supposed to be my turn around event, and I put $70 on the line in a series of fights, but Lewis walked straight into Matt Mitrione like a total idiot. Due to a massive upset by Ben Rothwell over Overeem, I managed to come out like $3 on top, but it was basically another event where I called it wrong. Thanks to a lucky "just for fun parlay" on UFC 177 where i made $13 from $5 I'm currently at about $317.
Unfortunately, I'm not loving most of the upcoming cards, so I don't know when, or if, I'll ever get back to $400. My goal is to get to $450 and then take my original $150 out, but we'll see.

Well the fight had already happened at the time of my last post (it was in the UK) but I would have said leave the fight alone at those odds.

The fighters had previously fought a year or two back and Frampton won by knockout in the 9th while being up on all three scorecards. In his next fight Martinez won a world title in an upset and then defended it with 3 subsequent knockouts against pretty decent competition. But Frampton is much more skilled and I expected him to win by decision this time, which he did. Maybe there were some ok odds for him winning by decision, since he stopped him the last time, but I don't know. If Martinez were to win I think it would have only been by KO, and he probably would have had to catch him cold. That wasn't worth risking anything on.

Maximal Van MaximusPunching people in the face. Very sweet. Very scientific.

This is, invariably, the idiot's response to combat sports.

briggm, when you wake up, find the Kokietgym-Salido fight.  Watch the whole thing.  It's an unbelievable slugfest.  Just nasty.
