Sucks that we have to wait a week for new episodes. But awesome start to the season so far. I like the show's willingness to throw any comedic idea at the wall to see what sticks, though it does result in some meh ideas getting dragged out, like the dybbuk exorcism thing.

Hulu has put up the third season of You're the Worst (new season starts in September, I think) and it's really fantastic. I ended up binging all of it yesterday evening. Especially amazing are the Edgar-centric episode and the one with Paul and Vernon's adventure.

I realized who Vernon really reminds me of: Glen in Raising Arizona.

I always have a hard time coming up with a "best shows" list and it is getting more difficult every year. I don't understand how anyone can NOT watch as much TV as I do. FOMO, mofos.

Sister Helen PrejeanI've gotten some confusing messages about zombies recently, so let's clear this up: my story is Dead Man Walking, not The Walking Dead!

Reminds me of when Lou Reed died a few years ago people were tweeting "Oh man, I loved Mambo #5! R.I.P.!"

Well, even that beats people knowing who Lou Reed was and tweeting "I guess he's now taking a walk . . . on the wild side."

A lot more dog murder than I'd expect from a Meow recommended show.

Infinitus CorsairWirthling, did you watch Young Pope?

I saved it on DVR but put it off and then I moved and got a new DVR so I didn't have it saved any more and -- ugh, short version: No.

The rape reversal thing on Preacher was fairly brilliant. Also great: the soldier-POV raid scene. Herr Starr is as magnetic on-screen as he was on the page, too. Still loving this show.

ETA: Ooh, almost forgot: The butter scene. Bonkers.

Oh yeah it can get brutal (especially season 1) but stick with it. The whole thing is beautiful and it has one of the best finales I've ever seen.

God I loved this show. It wasn't afraid to commit to some really crazy ideas. And man, does it get crazy.

Also, if it's bumming you out now, don't worry. It develops a pretty twisted sense of humor as it progresses.

wirthlingNathan For You - season 4 trailer

Nathan For You is one of my favorite shows. Sadly most of the shows I like get put on Amazon or Hulu or Netflix or whatever and you burn through it in a night and you have to wait a year for the next one.
